Cathedral Mountain provides a magnificent backdrop to this view of the first three locos of a westbound minerals train making careful progress on the descent from the summit at the 5000' Kicking Horse Pass where the route passes from Alberta into British Columbia. Further down the gradient No. 5990 will lead the train through the Swiss-inspired spiral tunnels of the 'big hill' near Field B.C. on 2nd 7th August 1987.
