Sulzer Type 4 diesel electric No. D138 sweeps round the curve off the sea wall at Teignmouth on 28th August 1971 with a Derby - Penzance service. New from Derby Works in October 1961, it became Class 46 No. 46001 under TOPS in 1973. The loco was withdrawn from service in December 1980 and cut-up at Swindon Works during July 1982.
