After a scandelously short service life of just over 13 years, Standard Class 2 Mogul No. 78020 awaits its fate in the scrap line at Lostock Hall MPD on 4th September 1967. New from Darlington Works in May 1954 and first allocated to Kettering MPD, it was withdrawn in May 1967 and cut up by the Motherwell Machinery & Scrap Company of Wishaw during November of that year.
