USATC Class S160 2-8-0 No. WD701 'Franklyn D. Roosevelt' brings a distinctly overseas flavour to Alton on the Mid Hants Railway as it marshalls its coaching stock at the end of a working day during May 1991. A 1944 war-time product of the American Locomotive Company, it saw service on Italian Railways and in Greece before coming back to this country.
