The engine and stock of the weekday Scarborough Spa Express are used for the seasonal working of the Sunday Waverley Express from York to Carlisle which has been affected by the dry weather condition appertaining during the 2013 season of workings. On 11th August 2013 Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No. 46115 Scots Guardsman had the support of Class 47 No. 47760 as they drifted off Ribblehead Viaduct as they worked back to York.
