The first of the RTCs winter season of Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express trains ran on 2nd February 2013 when John Camerons LNER A4 Class Pacific No. 60009 worked the steam leg from Carnforth - Carlisle - S&C - Farington Jn. The first train glinted in the winter sun as it stormed through Greenholme on the northbound climb of Shap.
