The short-lived passenger refresher trainer operated by DRS which operated from Crewe - Stoke via Liverpool; Chat Moss and Stockport returning via Earlestown; Winwick and the WCML lasted only a few days before being withdrawn. On 15th January the consist was led by Class 47/4 47501 Craftsman with Class 47/4 47818 at the rear as it gained the WCML at Winwick.
