On 12th October 2023 East Midlands Intercity Class 222 No. 222006, passes Wingfield, Derbyshire on a service from St Pancras to Sheffield. To the left, the restoration of Wingfield station is nearly complete with a Grand Launch Event to be held at the end of the month together with public open days in the following week.
