On the 4th October 2016, Transnet Class 38 No. 38.008, still in the original Spoornet orange livery, stands in the holding sidings at Ogies in Mpumalanga. It is a member of the small class of 50, Bo-Bo Class 38's, which, uniquely, are electro diesels, built by UCW and Siemens between 1992 and 1994.
