Class 91 No. 91002 leaves Leeds "blunt end" first on 17th June 1989 with the late-running 12:10 service to Kings Cross. Things had gone wrong with the TDM equipment requiring the engine to come off the back and haul the formation to London. The next vehicle was a surrogate DVT employed to haul HSTs before the introduction of Mark 4 stock.
