SAR Class 14R 1904 hauls a heavy freight near Klerksdorp, Transvaal, South Africa on 12th April 1979. This 4-8-2 locomotive was built by North British in 1915 and designated a Class 14A. Subsequently, the loco was re-boilered in the 1930's and re-designated as Class 14R. Remarkably, it was still providing good service some 65 years after being built.
