Class 47/4 No. 47847 Brian Morrison with Class 47/3 No. 47316 about to leave Ipswich at 07:50 for the North Norfolk Railway on 20th March 2004. No. 47847 was built at Brush Traction and entered traffic as D1774 at 41A tinsley on 19th October 1974 before becoming 47179 under TOPS on 13th July 1974. It was converted to 47577 on 29th March 1981 before becoming 47847 on 19th December 1989. Sold to Riviera Trains on 1st January 2005 where it remains, although now on long-term lease to GBRf.
