Brush Type 4 No. D1996 stands amongst the steam survivors at Stockport MPD on 4th May 1968. Barely two years old, the locomotive was allocated to Finsbury Park (34G) at the time. Later renumbered under TOPS as No. 47294, it spent the last 30 years of its life allocated to Sheffield Tinsley (41A). It was finally broken up by HNRC at Toton during November 2002.
