Built by 'Electroputere' in Rumania, Class 56 No. 56019 is pictured awaiting departure from Burton-on-Trent Station on 23rd September 1981 with 1E63, 11:35 Poole to Leeds and Newcastle inter-city service. Due to the non-availability of a Class 45 or Class 47 to work the train forward from Birmingham New Street this locomotive was commandeered at short notice to work the train.
