Romanian-built Class 56 No 56019 is seen departing from Burton-on-Trent station on the 23 September 1981 heading 1E63, 1135 Poole to Leeds and Newcastle inter-regional service. The Class 56 took over this working at Birmingham New Street as a result of a Class 45 or Class 47 being unavailable to take the train forward.
