The arrival of A4 Class Pacific Pacific Nos. 60008 and 60010 from North America presented a rare opportunity to display 3 consecutively numbered locomotives still in BR green livery - if funding of £6,000 could be found. The subsequent appeal to photographers raised the desired amount within 48 hours and the contributing photographers enjoyed their reward at the NRMs Locomotion site at Shildon on the evenings of Friday 19th and Saturday 20th October 2012. On the Friday night the locomotives were joined by sister engine No. 60009 Union of South Africa as NRM director Steve Davies and John Cameron, owner of No. 60009, stood to acknowledge the gratitude of the assembled photographers.
