One of the last of the Swindon-built Class 42 'Warship' Diesel-hydraulics in traffic, DNo. 821 'Greyhound' stands at Plymouth on 25th July 1972 with only five months service ahead of it being withdrawn on 3rd December 1972. It has of course been preserved.
