In order to permit Class 66/0 No. 66113 to use the single line to Battleship Wharf, Class 55 No. 55022 makes a sharp exit back to Lynemouth as 0N31 12.23 North Blyth - Lynemouth on Wednesday 11th May 2011. Class 66/0 No. 66113 is powering a Hunterston to North Blyth empty coal working, comprising a motley rake of 4 wheeled MEA's and bogie KEA wagons. It is hard to believe that the only coal seen at Blyth today is imported coal! Freemans Crossing box visible in the background was previously a Grade 4 box busy with trains to Blyth Power station, north side staithes and Cambois MPD, now it's role is simply to control one train at a time down the single line. How times have changed.
