Still retaining its livery of the original electric blue livery of the late 1960's Class 86 No 86233 / E3172 is seen on display at Long Marston on 6th June. It has had its 'Alsthom Heritage' nameplates removed and also its cast BR 'lion & Wheel'. It was repainted in 2002 and worked Virgin West Coast / Cross Country workings until it was withdrawn. It was previously stored at Crewe, and prior to its repaint and renaming it carried the name 'Laurence Olivier'.
