In a different livery to that of most of the other locomotives, 87006 looks in quite good condition as it stands between 2 Virgin liveried examples. 87006 was painted from Virgin into a version of DRS livery and found further use with this company, hence its apparant better condition. 87006 carried 3 different names during its career, the first being 'City of Glasgow' from 1977-1987, it was then re-named between 1987-1989 'Glasgow Garden Festival', then from 1989 it regained its original 'City of Glasgow' plates. From 1997 it was named 'George Reynolds'. 8th June 2008
