On Friday 10th May 1985 unnamed Class 47/4 No. 47713 waits departure time at Glasgow Queen Street Station with a push pull train for Edinburgh Waverley. Delivered new to the London Midland Region as No. D1954 in November 1966 where she would remain until transferred to the Western Region at Landore MPD Swansea during February 1973. Converted to ETH and renumbered as a Class 47/4 No. 47510 in early 1974 a further 10 years would pass before she passed to the Scottish Region in January 1985 following push pull conversion and renumbering as Class 47/7 No. 47713. Allocated to Haymarket TMD at the time No. 47713 was named 'Tayside Region' on 17th May 1985, a week after this picture was taken. Transferring to Eastfield TMD during October 1987, in July 1988 she was the first Class 47/7 to be withdrawn after sustaining severe fire damage in the engine compartment. After stripping for reusable spares No. 47713 was scrapped by Vic Berry at Leicester during July 1990.
