Most of the Bulgarian railway network is fully electrified but some non-electrified branch lines still exist, several to isolated areas especially in the south of the country. The Radomir to Kyustendil branch is such an example where BDZ PP Class 10 two-car DMU sets are deployed on the route. Zemen is the location here as set No. 10007/10008 pulls in with a mid-afternoon westbound service from Radomir on 21st June 2018. The area going forward from Zemen is somewhat remote with the railway negotiating a way through the mountainous terrain to Kyustendil, just shy of the Macedonian border in the extreme southwest of the country.
