NSW TrainLink Class D EMUs have been in construction at Hyundai Rotem in South Korea from 2019 to the present, and are called 'Mariyung' which is an Aboriginal word for the EMU, and feature an image of an EMU on the side of each unit. These double deck units have caused union issues as there are to be Driver-Only-Operated, and many stations have had to be lengthened to cater for the 6 and 4 unit workings. Here, new No. H 140 (6car) stands in Sydney Central station on 20th April 2023 waiting to leave on a test run to Penrith NSW. Note the red front panels which are not 'high visibility'.
