Having completed its 6 years £1 million major overhaul and in temporary LNER Wartime Black livery, LNER Class A4 Pacific No. 4498 'Sir Nigel Gresley' approaches Winwick Junction, working the 08:27 Crewe to Carlisle Private Charter 'A4 Locomotive Society Members Trip' on 21st May 2022. Class 47/4 No. 47614 (47853) was on the rear of the train. It's now the only operational member of its Class and is expected to be repainted into its usual express passenger blue livery with its BR identity of No. 60007 over the Winter of 2022/2023.
