On 23rd January 2019, a pristine DB Cargo Class 66/0 No. 66134 crosses one of the two, what were then, recently installed flood defences between Chard Junction and Axminster. Working from Westbury to Exeter New Yard, the locomotive was the third to be engaged on a series of driver training/route learning sorties prior to a forthcoming closure of Whiteball Tunnel which was expected to see some DB-operated freight flows diverted over the former LSWR route.
