It is roughly three years since the 7.5 mile Tytherington branch was brought back into use linking Yate and the quarry at Tytherington. Hitherto, workings have been operated by DB Cargo and Freightliner utilising Class 59's and Class 66's. In a departure from the usual traction, DC Rail Freight Class 60 No. 60055 'Thomas Barnardo' makes a very rare appearance at Iron Acton open level crossing while powering the 13:24 Tytherington Quarry-Bristol Parkway route learning working on 3rd September 2021.
