Class 31s No. 31465 and 31110 head a train of loaded ballast southbound through Stafford on 10th July 1998. No. 31465 was one of a handful of Class 31s to receive Regional Railways livery, later became a Network Rail locomotive and is now preserved on the Weardale Railway. No. 31110 was withdrawn in February 2001 and scrapped in April 2007.
