Northern Trains operated a number of empty stock workings on 9th May 2020, using its Class 144 fleet, currently stored on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, to give the units a run following several weeks inactivity. One such working featured a four unit lash up comprising No. 144001, 144011, 144013 and 144010 which worked the 11.20 KWVR - Ilkley - Kirkstall Loop - KWVR. The units are seen awaiting departure from Ilkley. No. 144001 appears to have been parked under a bridge used by a large number of pigeons!!
