Class 45 No. 45106 (D106) was given celebrity status in 1988 by being repainted into an overall green livery, as seen here at Bescot on 9th October 1988. No. 45106 was the last Class 45 in service until it was withdrawn in February 1989 after a fire when on a Derby to St. Pancras service. As seen in this photo No. 45106 was the only Class 45 to be fitted with a Tinsley Depot plaque, also made unique by painting the background red instead of black.
