On the 23rd November 2019, SAR Class 19B No. 1412, a 4-8-2 locomotive built by Berliner Maschinenbau in Berlin, Germany, in 1930, is seen stabled in sidings adjacent to the docks in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. To the rear is the unique No. 3450 "Red Devil", which was originally an SAR Class 25NC 4-8-4 locomotive, built by Henschel in Germany, with a works number of 28769 in 1953, but was extensively modified in 1980, to be reclassified as the sole Class 26. Both locomotives are Transnet heritage locomotives, which have been loaned to the Ceres Rail Company for operation on their rail charters from Cape Town.
