On 18th September 2019, Great Western Railway Class 166/2 No. 166212 snakes across the tracks at the approach to St. Denys Station, to join the sharply-curving line around the headwaters of the River Itchen, with a service from Cardiff to Portsmouth Harbour. Waiting at the signal, for this move to complete, is South-Western Railway Class 444 No. 444026, with a service from London Waterloo to Weymouth.
