Island Line Class 483 No. 483006 works along Ryde Pier with the 1607 Ryde Pier Head - Shanklin service on 12th August 2019. The abandoned central section was used by a tramway that operated from 1864 until 1969. Note, too, the distinctive outline of Portsmouths Spinnaker tower on the far side of The Solent.
