Reviving memories of the glory days of the Coronation Class Pacifics No. 6233 'Duchess of Sutherland' storms through Hungerford on 27th July 2019, with the first West Somerset Steam Express of the season en route to Minehead. After days of extreme heat had disrupted railway operations, the weather has turned much cooler and persistent rain is falling. Fortunately the excursion was to experience more seasonable sunshine later in its journey.
