On a typical dark and foggy winter's day, on 25th January 1967, WD (LNER) Austerity Class J94 0-6-0ST No. 68006 stops by the bridge over the B5056 near Brassington on the Cromford & High Peak Railway with a Loughborough University brake van trip from Middleton Top to Friden and return, just a few weeks before the line was closed. On April 17th 2019 a lorry carrying a quarry container hit and destroyed the 11ft 6 inch low height bridge, closing the High Peak trail, and the local council have now installed a temporary steel platform to open the trail again at the end May 2019.
