Direct Rail Services Class 68 No. 68033 stabled with Class 88 No. 88002 at Oxford on 16th February 2019. The pair had previously worked from Kingmoor - Bicester COD on 15th February but on the return the light engine move was cancelled at Oxford. Believed to be the first time a Class 88 had ventured down the line from Coventry to Oxford since their introduction. Giving the unfamiliar sight of locomotives once again on the site of the former stabling point north of Oxford Station, even more so with an electric locomotive in residence!
