Colas Class 70/8 No. 70809, looking immaculate in the late autumn sunshine, heads an unscheduled civil engineer's train across Hungerford Common on 29th October 2018. Evidently the 50mph slack for the new underbridge has been lifted over the weekend as the loco powers ahead, with a West of England express not far behind. Freightliner-liveried Class 66/5 No. 66531 can just be seen at the rear, behind a rake of red ballast box wagons.
