Andrew Barclay works No. 557 waits to depart Livingston Mills station on 22nd July with the last train of the day at the Almond Valley Heritage Centre. Alongside is Baguley-Drewry works No. 3752. In the foreground is tank wagon number 50, originally used to carry shale oil products from oil works in West Lothian. The wagon was donated to the railway by DB Schenker and is typical of many hundreds once used to distribute, petrol, diesel, and other oil products that were produced in West Lothian from oil shale. The 100 year old wagon is a remarkable survivor having been used as a waste oil store, then a sewage storage tank, before being rescued.
