Churchward 2-8-0 No. 2857 stabled at Bridgnorth Depot on 1st September 2016. New from Swindon Works in 1918, the locomotive worked until April 1963 before being withdrawn from Neath shed (87A) and, along with many others, transferred to Woodhams at Barry. Acquired by the 2857 Society, after years of fundraising No. 2857 was transferred to the SVR in August 1975.
