To mark the conclusion of regular locomotive hauled normal services over the Settle to Carlisle line unusual locomotives were hired for workings. Here at Leeds Central on 10th March 1990 Hunslet-Barclay Class 20 No. 20905 'Iona' waits to depart with the 10:45 service from Leeds to Carlisle (along with Classmate No. 20906 and train locomotive Class 47 No. 47422.) In 2016 No. 20905 is still in regular mainline use, now in GBRf livery.
