On 18th/19th July 2015, the Middleton Railway celebrated the anniversary of the completion of the first locomotive from the Hunslet Engine Company on 18th July 1865. Here, Hunslet 0-6-0ST No. 19 reverses into the headshunt at Middleton Park Halt, while No. 7 (originally No. 2705) 'Beatrice'stands at the Middleton Park Halt platform, having worked the late running 11:28 service from Balm Road.
