An anachronism on the modern electrified WCML at Wedgwood south of Stoke on Trent as the Crossing Keepers operate the hand worked Crossing Gates on 4th August 1997. Lifting Barriers operated by Stoke Control Centre have since been installed and it is no longer possible to gain access to Wedgwood Station Platform from where the photograph was taken
