Having run from Leeds Neville Hill over the S&C on Sunday 5th January 1997 on a demonstration run Virgin Cross Country Class 43 HST Nos. 43068 and 43063 make their debut in commercial service showing off the Virgin Trains livery on 08:50 Edinburgh-Penzance on 6th January 1997 as they make the scheduled stop at Crewe.
