A sight which has caused many caustic comments by rail enthusiasts over the years at Bristol Temple Meads is the former Royal Mail conveyor belt which links the east end platforms to the Royal Mail sorting office in Cattle Market road. After many years out of use, it is finally being dismantled as depicted in this view from Platform 1. An FGW Class 150 'Sprinter' Class 150 No. 150926 has just arrived at the platform with 2K09 08:36 Avonmouth-Bristol stopping service on 31st October 2014.
