During the weekend of 30th May to 1st June 2014 the Mid Norfolk Railway, in Partnership with West Coast Railways, and part sponsored by Morton Media with their Railway Magazine and Heritage Railways magazine, held a West Coast Steam Gala featuring 3 locomotives from the West Coast Railways Fleet and offering for the first time an opportunity to ride behind one of these locomotives on a preserved line. Pictured here on 31st May is LMS Jubilee 45699 Galatea double heading with 8F No. 48151 hidden behind, approaching Thuxton with the 1D14 service from Wymondham Abbey to Dereham.
