The new look platforms and striking modern canopies are clearly visible in this image taken on 2nd May 2014 from the equally spacious footbridge which spans all 15 platforms. There remains cosmetic and finishing touches left to complete the transformation including electrification infrastructure. An FGW Class 43 HST arrives with a London bound train while in the distance another of the class heads west past the site of the new flyover
being constructed.
