The Churnet Valley Railway Winter Gala took place on 22nd-23rd February 2014, one of the locomotives in action was Baldwin No. 72080 in its guise as USATC 2-8-0 No. 6046, which required the use of LNER N7 0-6-2T No. 69621 as a brake translator following delays in returning 6046s air-pump from repairers in Germany. The duo were noted passing Bradnop station site on 23rd February with a Froghall - Ipstones service, bearing a wreath dedicated to the memory of Dave Butcher, a CVR volunteer who had died days before the event.
