Class 58 No. 58042 Ironbridge Power Station rests inside the Barrow Hill roundhouse on Sunday 5th June 1988 in the company of Class 56 No. 56006 & 56096. The atmosphere inside the roundhouse was unique among other BR depots in the country and even with all the diesels shut down was a reminder of what we took for granted in the steam age. Class 56 No. 56006, now preserved, can still be seen at Barrow Hill, Class 56 No. 56096, currently at Washwood Heath, May well be returning to use with Europhoenix, and Class 58 No. 58042 has been exported to France for infrastructure duties.
