The 13th September 2013 was the first day of a three day Heritage Diesel Gala on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. On that day, a former British Railways Class 52 Western No. D1062 'Western Courier', approaches Goathland with the 14.56 service from Pickering to Grosmont. On the right, resident BR Class 24 No. D5061, waits in the loop to be attached to the rear of the train for the journey down to Grosmont.
