The Hundred Foot Washes, straddling the Cambridgeshire-Norfolk border, are one of the jewels of Fenland. Stretching for 20 miles from Earith in the south to near Denver Sluice in the North, they are a haven for wildlife, especially wildfowl. The railway line between Ely and Peterborough is one of very few crossing points. Here, a Greater Anglia Class 170 DMU heads towards Peterborough with the 16:00 departure from Ipswich on Thursday 26th July 2012.
