In a lull between services St.Gallen railway station seems eerily quiet with just two trains platformed. In platform 2 can be spotted the 11.48 ICN St.Gallen to Lausanne service in the hands of the Bombardier / Alstom built tilting train No. 500017 Willi Ritschard. These 7 coach sets are the Swiss equivilent of the British Pendolino / Eurostar sets.
In the opposite platform face is the 11.41 local Thurbo pairing of 741-4 & 704-2 with a destination of Degersheum.
